GD Type Silicon Carbide Heating Element

The GD/HGD shape silicon carbide heating element is constructed in three parts: a central hot zone and end cold zones. It can operate at a maximum temperature of 1500°C.

GD Type silicon carbide heating elements are made from high-density reaction-bonded silicon carbide. They feature a spiral slot in the hot zone that reduces the cross-sectional area, creating a high electrical resistance ratio. This design ensures that the ends remain cooler while the hot zone reaches higher temperatures. The cold ends are customizable to meet specific requirements.
