W Type Silicon Carbide Heating Element
The U-shaped silicon carbide heating element is composed of three welded parts: the central section serves as the hot zone, while the ends function as cold zones. It can reach a maximum operating temperature of 1500°C.
- It is used in float glass tin baths.
- With three legs, it forms an effective star-connected three-phase element.
- It can be quickly replaced, even when the furnace is hot, to minimize downtime.
- It operates without noise or air pollution, making it environmentally friendly.
Product Description
W-type silicon carbide heating elements are constructed from high-density reaction-bonded silicon carbide. They feature a spiral slot in the hot zone that reduces the cross-sectional area, optimizing the electrical resistance ratio for cooler ends and a hotter central zone. These elements also come with customizable cold ends to meet specific requirements.
